Big West Conference Player of the Week (March 9)
2013 Fullerton All-Regional Team
AS A JUNIOR (2015)
Appeared in 47 games making 31 starts – 26 at second base and five at designated hitter…hit in the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th spots in the order…batted .244 with 13 RBIs, 14 runs scored and five doubles…totaled six multiple-hit games and produced an eight-game hitting streak from Feb. 27-March 10 as the Titans accumulated a 7-1 record…was named Big West Player of the Week on March 9 after batting 6-for-13 (.462 BA) with three runs scored, two RBIs and two walks while posting a .533 on-base percentage. He helped lead the Titans to a sweep of No. 5 Texas Tech hitting .556 (5-for-9) in the series including a 3-for-3 night in a 4-0 victory to open the series as he delivered the game winning RBI – a one-run double to right field in sixth inning…was also responsible for scoring the game-winning run with a RBI groundout in the sixth inning at Cal Poly (04/03)…as well as delivering a two-run single to left field in the seventh inning of a 4-2 win at Hawai’i (05/16).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2014)
Played in 32 games, making 21 starts... Batted .144 with 14 hits and scored 13 runs with two stolen bases... Had two hits and scored two runs in a victory over UC Davis on Apr. 6 at Goodwin Field.
SUMMER 2013
In 27 games for the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League batted .358 with 16 runs scored, three doubles, four home runs, 16 RBIs, eight walks and 11 stolen bases...was evaluated as the No. 17 prospect in the league by Baseball America.
AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
Took over starting duties at second base after senior Matt Orloff suffered an injury, and remained in the lineup the remainder of the season…appeared in 50 games, staring 44…hit. 260 with 18 runs scored, seven doubles, one triple, two home runs, 24 RBIs, 12 walks and four stolen bases…in Big West play, batted .279, driving in 14 runs…totaled 11 two-out RBIs…recorded eight multiple-hit games and three multiple-RBI games…drove in the game-winning run on two occasions: in just the second start of his career, hit a grand slam in a 6-2 win at TCU (02/23) and recorded a two-run double vs. Pacific (03/29)…was named to the Fullerton All-Regional Team…in an 11-6 win over Pacific, hit for the natural cycle - a two-run single in the first, two-run double in the third, a one-run triple in the fifth and a two-run homer in the sixth...with a 4-for-5 effort against the Tigers, he became the first Titan in 2013 to total four hits in a single game…his seven RBIs were the most for a Titan in a single game since Danny Dorn drove in seven runs vs. Harvard on June 3, 2005…batted 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in a loss at UC Riverside (05/12).

A 2012 graduate of Foothill High School in Pleasanton, Calif • Played three years of varsity baseball at both second base and shortstop for head coach Angelo Scavone • In 2012 was named to the All-East Bay first team after hitting .474 with 19 RBIs, 13 extra-base hits and 15 stolen bases • Led the Falcons to the CIF North Coast Section Division I semifinals in 2012 • Was a two-time East Bay Athletic League first team pick and two-time team MVP (2011 and 2012) • Played for the Oakland A's Area Code team • As a junior in 2011, batted .347 with 20 RBIs and nine doubles • As a sophomore in 2010, batted .348 with 25 runs scored and earned EBAL honorable mention accolades • Also played one year of varsity football.

Born in St. Louis, Mo. • Parents are Gregg and Melanie Jefferies • Has two younger brothers (Jace and Luke) and one younger sister (Maddie) • Major is kinesiology • Father (Gregg) had a 14-year career in Major League Baseball (1987-2000) playing for the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and the Anaheim Angels, and was named the Minor League Player of the Year in 1986 and 1987, and was named to the National League All-Star Team in the 1993 and 1994 seasons with the Cardinals • Jake’s favorites include: Robinson Cano (baseball player), Wrigley Stadium (baseball stadium), In-N-Out (restaurant), San Francisco Giants (baseball team), “Miracle” (movie), BBQ (food).
