HIGH SCHOOL A 2013 graduate of El Toro High School in Lake Forest,
Calif…played three seasons of varsity baseball (2011-13) for
head coach Mike Gonzales…received several accolades
following his senior season: Orange Country Register All-County
Pitcher of the Year, CIF Southern Section All-Division I Team, Max
Preps All-State, South Coast League MVP, second-team
All-American…the Chargers reached the quarterfinals of the
2013 CIF Southern Section Division I playoffs as El Toro completed
the season with a 23-7 record and a South Coast League championship
(11-1)…on the mound finished the year with a 9-1 record,
0.36 ERA, 12 appearances and 74 strikeouts in 78 and 1/3
innings…held opponents to a .156 average…finished
2012 with a 4.57 ERA, record of 0-1 and six strikeouts in seven and
2/3 innings…in 2012 won the South Coast League championship
with a 9-3 record (25-7 overall)…the Chargers advanced to
the second round of the CIF Southern Section playoffs…as a
sophomore in 2011, managed a 1.59 ERA with a 1-2 record and 17
strikeouts in 22 innings…attended the same high school as
current Titan Matt
Chapman.
