Short Doubles, Williams Wins

Flagstaff, Ariz. - Ciara Short doubled in school-record times in the 200 and 400 meters and Lauren Williams won the 60 meter hurdles to highlight Cal State Fullerton's performance Saturday at the NAU Challenge Track and Field meet.

Short won the 200 in 24.06 to break her own school record of 24.10 and won the 400 in 53.89, besting her school record of 54.66. Williams won the hurdles in 8.68 seconds.

Teammates also performed well. Freshman Katie Wilson had a personal best of 56.63 to place third in the 400 and Carol Chang was third in the 60 yard dash in 7.93 seconds. Bonnie Sorensen tied for fourth in the high jump at 1.53 meters, Ginny English was third in the pole vault at 3.2 meters and Lauren McIntyre ran second in the 3,000 meters in 10:55.55.

The Titans return to Flagstaff next weekend for the NAU Open.
