FULLERTON, Calif.—Cal State Fullerton gets its 2013 indoor season under way Saturday as it travels to Flagstaff, Arizona to take part in the NAU Invitational.

The Titans will send a group of 13 athletes to claim 27 spots in seven different events this weekend. Junior Ashley Sims leads the group in hopes of replicating what was a school record-breaking performance last season at the NAU Invitational, as she ran a 7.65 in the 60-yard dash, which bested the 7.68 recorded by both Antonia Vega in 2007 and the Ciara Short in 2009.

Jasmyne Davis, Brionna Thompson, Alexis Stewart, Jasiri Blake, Jessica Lewis, Deena Pierce, Elizabeth Claustro, Calaiah Branch, Morgan Thompson, Katie Wilson, Melissa Kelly, and Tenia Sebastian round out the rest of the Titans competing in the meet.

Members of Cal State Fullerton's mens outdoor track and field team Bryan Luther and Javon May will also compete in the 60-yard dash unattached.

In addition Kara Kalmar, Megan Ferris, and Shawn McNany will be traveling up to Reno, Nevada to participate in the National Pole Vault Summit Friday through Saturday. They will also compete unattached.
