FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team won their sixth straight match on Sunday afternoon, a 4-2 victory over Utah State at Titan Tennis Courts. 

Fullerton now improves to 12-2 (2-0) for the season. Utah State falls to 9-7. 

The Titans opted to begin the day with singles play in order to avoid the rain. Doubles play was only to be played if the match was undecided, however, the Titans proved to not need the extra point to solidify the win. 

Genevieve Zeidan faced off against Sasha Pisareva on court number one and pulled off her 12th straight win 6-3, 6-3. Zeidan is now 23-2 overall for the season and an outstanding 13-1 in dual play. 

Sarah Nuno bested Sabrina Demerath on court number two 6-2, 6-2. Nuno is now 10-4 in dual match play. 

Karla Portalatin held her reign on court number three and also advanced to her 12th consecutive win after defeating Maggie O'Meara 6-4, 6-1. 

Luxizi Meng held down court number four and defeated Rhoda Tanui  6-1, 6-1. 

Fullerton secured the win with the first four courts in their favor.

On court number five, Caisey Lee Emery suffered her first loss to Hannah Jones 3-6, 1-6. Emery is now 9-1 in dual match play. 

Masako Makiba fell to Sophia Haleas on court number six 1-6, 4-6. 

Fullerton will take on Pacific Univesity in Hawai'i on Thursday at 1 p.m. PT.
