Fullerton Back on the Links at Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational

LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Cal State Fullerton heads back out on the links this week as the Titans travel to the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational hosted by Seattle University beginning Monday.

THE COURSE: The Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational will be held at the Tacoma Golf and Country Club and will play at par-72 and 6,086 yards. It features four par-5's, 10 par-4's and four par-3's. The tournament begins Monday with 36 holes with the final 18 set for Tuesday.

THE FIELD: The tournament will feature 15 teams including the Titans and host Redhawks. Joining them on the links will be: Grand Canyon, Washington, Gonzaga, Utah Valley, Washington State, Oregon State, Weber State, Sam Houston State, Sacramento State, Eastern Washington and Montana.

IN THE POLLS: After a pair of solid showings in their first two tournaments, the Titans are currently ranked No. 87 in the nation with Martina Edberg coming in as the top individual for Fullerton, ranked No. 43 in the country after two straight wins to start the year.

EDBERG LOOKING FOR THREE: Senior Martina Edberg has logged two straight victories to begin the 2016-17 season and will be looking to make it three straight in Tacoma. She was named the Big West Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for September after earning back-to-back medalist honors. Edberg has now won six tournaments in her Titans career and recorded 37 rounds of par or better, both school records. She set a new 54-hole school and course record with a 10-under 206 at the 6,200-yard Washington State Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash.  Her seven-stroke WSU Cougar Cup victory was facilitated by a 6-under 66 in round three.  Her first two rounds featured a 72 and 68.The Rose City Collegiate featured a steady Edberg who carded rounds of 70, 70 and 72 to finish with a winning score of 4-under 212.  She edged Poy Prasurtwong of Southern Utah and Sofie Babic of Sacramento State by one stroke at Langdon Farms Golf Club in Aurora, Ore.
