SAN DIEGO — Cal State Fullerton women's water polo dropped a 19-7 road contest at UC San Diego Friday afternoon, moving to 9-13 on the season and 0-3 in Big West play. 

Kylie Corwin and Mia Solorzano led the way for Fullerton with two goals apiece, with Corwin's two scores coming on just three shots. Kieran Scout Bates, Emily Midgley and Gabrielle Zaretskiy each added a goal for the Titans, while Haden Skye Bates had a pair of saves in goal. 

Corwin scored from long range early in the first period off a pass from Mikka Von Scherr to tie things up at one. But the Tritons scored six straight to take a 7-1 advantage. Corwin scored her second on a power play and Kieran Scout Bates added one to bring the score to 8-3 in the second. Solorzano scored a penalty shot, as UCSD took a 10-4 advantage into halftime. 

Solorzano scored her second of the game in the third period off an assist from Delaney Wilder on another power play. Midgely scored off an assist from Brittney Pino, and Zaretskiy scored off a pass from Von Scherr to bring the score to 15-7 for UCSD early in the fourth. The Tritons scored four more in the period to bring the final score to 19-7 for UCSD. 

Up next, the Titans travel to Pomona-Pitzer for a double-header tomorrow, Saturday, March 18th. Fullerton will first take on Occidental at 2:00 p.m. PT before facing Pomona-Pitzer at 5:00 p.m. PT.
