Women's Water Polo Drops Games to No. 15 Wagner and No. 21 San Diego State

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – After earning its first two wins in program history on day one of the UCSB Winter Invite, the Cal State Fullerton women's water polo lost both games on day two to No. 15 Wagner and No. 21 San Diego State. 

The Titans started off day two of the tournament with a matchup with the No. 15 team in the country, Wagner. The team put forth a valiant effort but were defeated, 24-2. Mia Solorzano (1st period) and Gabrielle Zaretskiy (4th period) scored the Titans two goals. 

Fullerton then turned their attention to No. 21 San Diego State. The Titans played the No. 21 team in the country tough for the majority of the game before giving up a few late goals to lose 12-4. 

Solorzano scored two goals for the Titans in the first and second period of play. Kieran Scout Bates added one goal in the first while Zaretskiy scored one in the third period. 

The Titans conclude the UCSB Winter Invite Sunday morning against No. 14 Indiana at 9:00 a.m.
