FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's water polo and head coach Kyle Witt announce the 2023 schedule for its inaugural season Wednesday morning.
"The inaugural women's water polo team has been working hard to represent their school and is excited to finally be playing against outside competition," Witt said. "The schedule that was compiled this year will prove to be a challenging one and we are excited to begin competition within the Big West."
The Titans host a total of eight games during the 2023 season with its home opener on Saturday, Feb. 4 against Chapman at 1:00 p.m.
Fullerton opens the season at the UC Santa Barbara Winter Invite with games against UC Merced (Jan. 20), Ottawa (Jan. 20), Wagner (Jan. 21), San Diego State (Jan. 21) and Indiana (Jan. 22).
The Titans then head to California Baptist for the Lancer Joust on Jan. 26 before returning to Titan Aquatics Center for its home opener against Chapman on Feb. 4.
On Feb. 18 the Titans will play a doubleheader at the University of Redlands where they will face the Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. followed by a matchup with Concordia at 12:00 p.m.
The Titans return home for a doubleheader against Toronto and Biola on Feb. 22 before hitting the road once again for the Tina Finali Memorial Tournament at Cal Lutheran Feb. 24 and 25 and the Claremont Convergence where they will play four games in two days against Cal Lutheran (Mar. 3), Santa Clara (Mar. 3), Westcliff (Mar. 4) and Whittier (Mar. 4).
Fullerton opens Big West Conference play on Friday, Mar. 10 against rivals Long Beach State at Titan Aquatics Center at 6:00 p.m. PT. The Titans final home game of the season is Saturday, April 15 against UC Santa Barbara at 1:00 p.m. before wrapping up the regular season at CSUN on April 22.
The Big West Conference Tournament will be held at UC Santa Barbara starting Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30.
