Saddler named AVCA All-American Honorable Mention

Lexington, KY - Cal State Fullerton outside hitter Erin Saddler (Sr., OH, Bellflower) was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American Honorable Mention after helping her team to its first Big West Conference championship and postseason appearance in school history.

Saddler, the Big West's Player of the Year, is just the third Titan volleyballer to earn such an honor, and the third in the last three seasons (Brittany Moore in 2008, Kayla Neto in 2009).

The Bellflower, Calif., native posted 438 kills and and 4.31 kills per set to rank in the Top 2 in conference and in the Top 20 in the nation. Her 2010 kill numbers rank her 4th all-time in a single season and her 1,501 career kills ranks her 2nd all-time at Cal State Fullerton.

Saddler was a 4-time Big West Conference Player of the Week, setting a new school record for most weekly honors in a season by a volleyball player. Her six career player of the week nods, ties her for 9th all-time in a Big West career with former Long Beach State standout and volleyball legend, Misty May.

Saddler was on of a school record four Titans to earn all-league first team recognition and was one of three honored by the AVCA with West Region accolades. Zimmerman was the West's Coach of the Year while Saddler (first team) and teammate Cami Croteau (honorable mention) were named to the All-West Region teams.
