Complete Release in PDF FormatUPCOMING: Fifth-place Cal State Fullerton (14-14, 7-6) is on the prowl for its elusive eighth Big West Conference win this week, and will look for it on the road. The Titans travel to UC Davis (12-14, 4-9) on Friday night and Pacific (9-14, 8-5) on Saturday.

LAST WEEK: Volleyball continued its pattern of going 1-1 for the fourth straight week, losing on the road to Long Beach State on Tuesday, and winning at home against Cal State Northridge Saturday night.

The Titans got a match-high 23 kills and 10 digs out of senior Brittany Moore in the 3-1 loss to the 49ers. Despite losing its 52nd straight match to the cross-town foe, Fullerton managed to pick up its first set victory over the 49ers since 2004. Freshman Sydney McDowell also posted 10 block assists and just missed tying a school record held by Laurie Jakemer, who posted 11 block assists in a match back in 1980.

The Matadors gave the Titans a run for their money on Saturday, but Fullerton crept away in the fourth set to defeat the Matadors 3-1. With their 7th conference victory, the Titans tied a school record for most league wins in a season and look to break the mark set by last year's squad within the last three conference matches. Moore also made her mark on the record book, becoming the all-time block assist leader, surpassing Alyssa Opeka, with her 288th career block assist in the first set. She and setter Andrea Ragan posted back-to-back double doubles on the weekend.

VS UC DAVIS: The Titans are 5-3 against the Aggies dating back to the 2004 season when the teams met for the first time. On Oct. 18, Davis handed the Titans their first five-set loss of the season. The Titans swept the Aggies in the two meetings between them in UC Davis' first season competing in the Big West Conference in 2007.

VS PACIFIC: Cal State Fullerton has beaten Pacific just six times since 1984, posting a 6-43 record against the Tigers all-time. Earlier this season, Fullerton swept the then-first place Tigers, 3-0, to extend its longest winning streak of the season to five matches and give them a 5-4 advantage since 2004. The two teams have split the season series over the last four seasons.

QUICK HITS:

&\#149; Fullerton picked up its first set victory over Long Beach since Sept. 16, 2004 behind nine first-set kills by Brittany Moore on Tuesday night. The Titans won set one, 25-19, but eventually succumb to the 49ers in four sets. The last set win in 2004 was a 33-31 victory in a third-set overtime. Their last win against the 49ers came in 1982. Fullerton has lost 52 consecutive matches against them.

&\#149; Brittany Moore now is the all-time Cal State Fullerton leader in block assists, surpassing Alyssa Opeka old record (2002-05) on Saturday night with her 288th career- block assist.

&\#149; Brittany Moore needs just 13 blocks to become the all-time Cal State Fullerton leader in total blocks. With 350 total blocks as a senior, Moore needs to average just over three blocks a match for the last four matches of the year to break Stephanie Scofield's (1988-91) record of 363 total blocks. Junior Alex Wolnisty has 259 total blocks, ranking her No. 5 on the all-time Fullerton career list

&\#149; Freshman Sydney McDowell put up 10 block assists on Tuesday night (Nov. 4) in Long Beach, matching the second-most block assists in a match by anyone in Cal State Fullerton history. She became just the fourth Titan to share in 10 blocks in a match, and the first person since Erin Saddler did it last season. She just missed the record of 11 set by Laurie Jakemer in 1980.

&\#149; With another 39 kills last week, Brittany Moore continued to close the gap between she and Susan Herman, the CSF all-time kills leader. Moore, now stands with 1,432 career kills, just 102 shy of the Fullerton record set by Herman from 1986-89. Just Moore and Herman have tallied 1,400-or-more kills in their career. Though it is unlikely, it is not impossible for Moore to become the all-time kills leader. She needs to average 26 kills a match over the last four contests of the year to become the kill queen of Cal State Fullerton.

&\#149; Brittany Moore moved up in the Titan record books with her 409th set played. She is now tied with Susan Herman for 3rd all-time at Cal State Fullerton. She is just one of four Titans to ever record 400 sets played in a career.

&\#149; Brittany Moore has 14 double-doubles (kills/digs) in the Titans' 28 matches played to date.

&\#149; Freshman Andrea Ragan has posted four consecutive double-doubles. On Tuesday, the freshman tallied 34 assists and 11 digs in the loss to Long Beach State and then posted 40 assists and tied her career-high with 17 digs on Saturday. She now has six total double-doubles.

&\#149; Freshman Andrea Ragan has been the everyday setter since Oct. 3 and tallied a career-high and a Titan season high 54 assists against UC Santa Barbara on Oct. 24 on the road. The freshman has started the last 12 matches and has 40-or-more assists in 7matches and 50-or-more in two.

&\#149; With the Titan win on Oct. 24 in Santa Barbara, Titan Head Coach Carolyn Zimmerman earned the 85th win of her career, and became the all-time winningest coach in CSF volleyball history. She surpassed Fran Cummings, who had 84 wins over nine seasons between 1980 and 1988. Zimmerman now has a career record of 87-128, good for a .405 winning percentage (also a school record).

&\#149; With a win on Saturday night, the Titans now have seven Big West Conference victories, tying a school record for the most conference wins in a season. The volleyball program has notched six-or-more conference wins just five times since 1976, and seven now, just twice, as they have tied the 2007 squads record set last year.

&\#149; The program has notched at least 14 wins in each of the last five season now, the best stretch in the program's history. The next closest run was from 1995 to 1997 where the Titans posted 12, 16 and 12 wins in three straight years.

&\#149; 14 overall victories by the 2008 Titans, ranks them tied for 5th in all-time CSF season wins.

&\#149; Coming into the week Alex Wolnisty's .279 attack percentage is good for 6th among players in the Big West Conference. Her percentage dropped from .282 to .279 within the last week.

&\#149; Brittany Moore now leads the Big West Conference in kills (377) and kills per set (3.77), jumping into the No. 1 spot for the first time in her career. Moore has posted double-digits in kills in 22 of the Titans' 28 matches this season.

&\#149; Cami Croteau, for the first time in her career, leads the Big West Conference in digs (427) and digs per set (4.27). She and Brittany Moore (10th,, 303 digs, 3.03 dps) find themselves in the BWC's Top 10.

&\#149; Freshman Andrea Ragan has posted 9.91 assists per set and ranks fifth in the Big West.

&\#149; Junior Alex Wolnisty already ranks 4th all-time in CSF career block assists (216) and is tied for 9th in solos (43).

&\#149; Cami Croteau set a career high and tied the second best dig performance ever by a Titan with 35 scoops on Oct. 18 against UC Davis. Croteau matched Vanessa Vella (2004-2006), who tallied 35 twice in her three-year career, and missed the single match record, also held by Vella, by just two digs

&\#149; Sophomore Cami Croteau has already broken into the career Top 10 in Cal State Fullerton history with 929 career-digs in her young career. She now sits at No. 7 all-time, and is 76 digs away from jumping to No. 6.

&\#149; The Titans, for the first-time in their history, cracked the Top 100 in NCAA RPI (Oct. 13) coming in at No. 93. Since then, the Titans have fallen out of the Top 100 and are currently ranked No. 105. The Titans have or will play four teams (Long Beach, Wisconsin, Pepperdine and Cal) that are listed in the NCAA RPI Top 25.
