Fullerton, Calif. - Kayla Neto, Leah Maurer and Bre Moreland combined for 40 of the Titans' 47 kills as Cal State Fullerton upset a red-hot UC Davis team, 3-0, Saturday night ina Big West Conference contest in Titan Gym.

With the win, the Titans snap a three match losing streak and improve to 9-10 overall and 4-3 in league action. The Aggies, coming off a loss at Long Beach State on Friday, drop their second in a row and fall to 18-5, 4-4.

Fullerton fell behind early in all three sets, but rallied back to win each set. There were only three lead changes in the entire match that finished 25-22, 25-21, 25-22 in the Titans favor.

Neto led the Titans with 15 kills, 7 digs, and two blocks and was closely followed by Maurer (13 kills, .300, 2 aces) and Moreland (12 kills, 8 digs) as Fullerton made a complete turn-around from Friday night's performance. The Titans had four service aces at the line and just six errors compared to 12 errors and three aces in the loss to Pacific.

The Titans hit .238 as a team with a little help from their third set .298 percentage. The Aggies came into the weekend ranked first in the conference in hitting percentage and second in kills, but were out-hit .238 to .198 and out-killed 47 to 40 Saturday night.

Allison Whitson and Betsy Sedlak had nine kills and Devon Demilio and Katie Denny had eight apiece to lead Davis.

The Aggies edged the Titans as the net, out-blocking them 7.5 to 7.0 as a team. Denny posted a match high 6 block assists. Fullerton setter Andrea Ragan paced the Titan squad with four block assists. Ayana Whitaker, making her first start of the year and first appearance since opening weekend, had four kills and three block assists.

The Titans' next action will be up the coast next Friday and Saturday at UC Santa Barbara and Cal Poly, respectively. The match against the Gauchos will begin at 7:30. First serve against the Mustangs will be at 7:00 p.m.
