IRVINE, Calif. — Elizabeth Schuster has been named The Big West Setter of the Week in Women's Volleyball, the conference announced Monday.
The senior from Long Beach, California, came up big for the Titans during their two five-set road wins over UC Davis and UC Riverside last week, averaging 9.8 assists per set. Against UC Davis, Schuster dished out 48 assists with no errors, also adding four kills on a .800 clip, nine digs and a block. She then racked up a season-high 50 assists versus UC Riverside to go along with 12 digs, three blocks, two kills and an ace.
Schuster orchestrated a Titan offense that featured four hitters reaching double figures in kills at both UC Davis and UC Riverside.
Schuster is averaging 9.42 assists per set on the season, good for fourth in The Big West. She currently ranks fifth in the conference in total assists with 669.
The Titans return home following a four-game road stretch for matches against Cal Poly on Friday and CSU Bakersfield on Saturday at Titan Gym. First serve against Cal Poly is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. PT.
