PHOENIX, ARIZ. – The Titans maintained their winning streak by bringing home a fifth consecutive victory after defeating Grand Canyon University. GCU started the game taking the first two sets, pushing the Titans to fight back and win the next three sets to take the match 3-2.

The first two sets of the game were a continuous battle between the Titans and the Lopes matching each other scores with each play. GCU edged out Cal State Fullerton by 25-23 in the first set and 27-25 in the second set.

Momentum picked up for the Titans as they dominated the first half of set three and maintained their lead winning set three 25-18 against GCU.

With a comeback in motion, the women of Cal State Fullerton volleyball competed with an aggressive offense with Crawford scoring her thirteenth kill of the night and Traylor getting the set point to beat out GCU in set four 25-21.

The Titans did not slow down their game as they closed the fifth set 15-9 to beat Grand Canyon University. Last week's Big West "Defensive Player of the Week'', Nadia Koanui, carried on with her impactful role by serving three aces. Strong defense from Danielle Jefferies, with a block against GCU, kept the Titans competitive while the impressive offense, seen from players Bianca Martinez and Marisse Turner, contributed to the Titan's victory.

The Titans women's volleyball team will begin Big West play next week and will be competing next at CSU Bakersfield on Friday, September 23rd at 6:00 p.m
