Titans Come Up Short After Pushing Hawaii to Fifth Set

OAHU, Hawai'i – Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball fell in the fifth set to Hawai'i, 3-2, Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. 

Fullerton pushed top-ranked Hawai'i to the brink. Sending the match to the fifth set after falling behind in the first two sets. 

The Titans won the third set by a score of 27-25 before dominating the fourth set, 25-13. It is just the second time this season that Hawai'i has been forced to the fifth and final set. 

Julia Crawford led the Titans on the offensive end with 18 kills while adding 16 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Makena Ala'ilima-Daley was second on the team with a career-high 16 kills. 

Fullerton is back in action Friday as it faces CSUN on the road with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. PT.
