Titans Win Three Straight Sets to Defeat CBU 3-1

IRVINE, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball (3-4) defeated California Baptist 3-1 Friday afternoon at the Bren Events Center. 

After dropping the first set 25-18, the Titans rallied to win the next three sets in a row to secure the win. Fullerton took the second set 25-22, the third 25-21 and the fourth 26-24. 

The Titans had an impressive comeback in the fourth set as they rallied to score the final four points, all by Julia Crawford. Crawford had a game-high 21 kills in the match while adding 17 digs for her fifth double-double of the season. Both her 21 kills and 17 digs tie a season-high for Crawford. 

Lyla Traylor was second on the team with 14 kills while adding 14 digs for her second double-double of the season. Nicole Shuhandler and Gabrielle Barcelos each recorded nine kills. 

The Titans match against Grand Canyon scheduled for Saturday afternoon has been cancelled. Fullerton will be back in action Friday, Sept. 24 for its Big West opener against CSU Bakersfield. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m. PT at Titan Gym.
