FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton women's volleyball has signed junior transfer Sydney Ashner to join the program for the 2020 season.

Ashner is a 5'10" from Palm Beach State College in Florida. She was a Second Team All-Conference selection as a freshman and a First Team All-Conference and All-Academic selection as a sophomore. She ranked in the Top 15 in the NJCAA averaging 9.57 assists per set. 

A Prairie Village, Kansas native, Ashner was a two-sport athlete at Shawnee Mission East HS. In her four years as a Lancer, she was a Sunflower League Honorable Mention in all four seasons and earned an All-Conference Academic First Team selection as a senior.

"Sydney fits our Titan culture very well and believes in what we are trying to accomplish in the fall season," said head coach Ashley Preston. "She has a tremendous work ethic and is a student of the game. I'm happy we get to work with her this spring season and look forward to seeing what she's capable of in the fall."
