AS A FRESHMAN (2013)
Appeared in one set for the Titans against Portland on Aug. 31, a
3-0 victory.
HIGH SCHOOL A 2013 graduate of Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino
Hills, Calif…played three years on the varsity squad for
head coach Bernie Wendling…in 2012, the Bulldogs finished
second in the Sierra League (16-9, 8-2) and advanced to the first
round of the California Interscholastic Federation Division IA
Southern Section playoffs…averaged 2.2 kills per set during
her senior season, earning Sierra League honorable mention
accolades…was a Renaissance Gold Card holder for maintaining
a 3.75-plus GPA from 2010-2013, and in addition was a two-time
Sierra League all-academic selection (2011-12)… graduated
with honors for receiving a 3.75 GPA or better all four years of
high school…was also named a Scholar Athlete for three
straight seasons (2010-12), and since 2010 has played for the Top
Gun Volleyball Academy under head coach Shin Jung…also a
setter and right-side hitter for the SCVA High Performance youth
team.
PERSONAL Born in Fullerton, Calif…parents are Todd and
Jackie Bell…has one younger brother (Travis)…majoring
in child and adolescent development with the career goal of
becoming a special education teacher…uncle Tim Bell played
basketball at UC Riverside (1980-84) and was named the 1984
California Collegiate Athletic Association Most Valuable Player
while winning a CCAA championship and appearing in the NCAA
Regionals (1984)…cousin Chad Bell is a sophomore on the
Lafayette College men’s golf team…during the summer of
2012 volunteered with Meals-on-Wheels…favorites include:
Angel Stadium (sports venue), Titan Gym (volleyball venue),
“Despicable Me” (movie), Tim McGraw (musical artist),
Amazon (website), Mexican food & frozen yogurt (food).
