FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton senior outside hitter Bre Moreland has been selected to train with the USA U23 Beach National Team.

Moreland will be training with the team from now until July 14, and will then have the opportunity to compete at the USA Beach High Performance Championships from July 17-21 in Hermosa, Beach, Calif.

Moreland was a 2012 Big West honorable mention selection following her junior campaign at Cal State Fullerton.

She finished ninth in the league averaging 3.34 kills per set (417 overall) and led the conference with 49 aces (0.39 per set). The native of Mission Viejo, Calif., averaged 4.01 points per set, which also ranked seventh in the Big West.

Moreland ended the year with 27 matches of 10 kills or more, including two matches with at least 20 kills, and finished the year with 20 double-doubles.

Cal State Fullerton will open the 2013 season at the UNLV Invitational on August 30.
