FULLERTON, Calif. – Bre Moreland and Kayla Neto paced Cal State Fullerton to a 3-1(25-19, 25-17, 22-25, 25-21) victory over UC Irvine on Saturday night at Crawford Court.

Moreland's 19 kills fell one short of reaching her career best, but the native of Mission Viejo, Calif., also added a match and career-high 27 digs to mark her 18th double-double of the season.

Neto matched Moreland with 19 kills, while Julie Consani was at the control of distribution with a match-high 44 assists. Neto also recorded a double-double with 14 digs, while adding five blocks (1 solo, 4 assists).

Lauren Kissell added seven kills for the Titans (14-13, 8-6 Big West), while Fullerton totaled 14 blocks in the match with Holland Crenshaw combining for six block assists and six kills.

The Titans remained undefeated at 8-0 after winning the first two sets of matches in 2012. The Anteaters (10-19, 5-10 Big West) hit at a clip of .250 to win the third set, but in the fourth set, Cal State Fullerton held UCI to a .045 attacking percentage as Irvine committed eight attacking errors.

The Anteaters were led by Aly Squires' 15 kills and 14 digs, while Taylor Smith also landed 13 kills.

The Titans return to action at Titan Gym on Friday to host Cal Poly at 7:00 p.m. Fullerton will then honor its senior class prior to Saturday's 7:00 p.m. match vs. UC Santa Barbara.

Notes: Cal State Fullerton has now won six straight matches against UC Irvine…Kayla Neto has totaled 18 double-doubles in 2012, including 15 in a row…Bre Moreland has also totaled 18 double-doubles in 2012, and her 27 digs against UC Irvine set a new career high…Julie Consani's double-double of 44 assists and 14 digs was her fifth double-double of 2012...the Titans are 8-0 after winning the first two sets in matches this year.
