SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton's five match-winning strike ended on Saturday night at Mott Gym, as Cal Poly upended the Titans, 3-2 (25-23, 18-25, 27-25, 13-25, 15-13).

Cal Poly (3-18, 2-7 Big West) was led by a quartet in the attack with Holly Franks landing 14 kills, followed by Molly Pon and Hannah Schleis, who contributed 12 kills apiece. Megan McConnell was one of three Mustangs to finish the evening with a double-double, dropping 10 kills and adding 20 digs.

Once again, reigning Big West Player of the Week Kayla Neto recorded a match high with 27 kills, while finding her way to 16 digs to mark her 10th consecutive double-double for Fullerton (11-11, 5-4 Big West).  Junior Bre Moreland added 15 kills and 16 digs for a double-double, while senior Gabrielle Dewberry found her way to 28 digs.

Fullerton outhit Cal Poly, .201 to .153, but the Mustangs landed six more kills and totaled 102 digs as the pair of Maddie Kuber (26 assists, 17 digs) and Shannon Garrett (25 assists, 13 digs) led the offense and defense.

Leah Best stuffed seven Mustang attempts, finishing the evening with seven block assists for the Titans, while sophomore Julie Consani added 36 assists.

Fullerton returns to Titan Gym for its next three matches beginning Friday night vs. UC Davis at 7 p.m.

Notes: Neto recorded her 10th straight double-double (13th overall) with 27 kills and 16 digs, finishing her weekend with 62 kills and 183 attempts…Neto has now landed at least 20 kills in seven matches in 2012…Bre Moreland recorded her 13th double-double with 15 kills and 16 digs…the Titans are 3-4 in five-set matches…the match totaled 26 tie scores and 11 lead changes.
