FULLERTON, Calif. –The Titans' 3-1 (28-26, 16-25, 25-11, 25-16) victory over Long Beach State on Saturday night at Titan Gym snapped a 59-match, 30-year losing streak to the 49ers.

CSF (10-10, 4-3 Big West) is now on a season-best four-match win streak, as the Titans won the contest by holding the 49ers (10-9, 5-3) to a .157 attacking percentage.

Producing her eighth consecutive double-double with match highs in kills (17) and digs (22), senior Kayla Neto led the Titans to their first win over Long Beach State since Oct. 19. 1982.

Junior Bre Moreland posted her 11th double-double of the season landing 12 kills and adding 16 digs, and Leah Best provided 11 kills and a match-best seven blocks (1 solo, 6 assists).

The first set featured eight ties and six lead changes as CSF's largest advantage was three points on five different occasions. Titans led 23-20, but LBSU rallied off four straight points. Trailing 25-26, CSF scored three unanswered points to clinch the first set with back-to-back kills from Neto and Moreland, and a block from Kaylynne Taeatafa and Best.

Taeatafa led the offense with 28 assists, while also dumping four kills, and sophomore Julie Consani chipped in 15 assists.

The Titans finished the match with a .226 attacking percentage, which included a .419 clip in the third set in a dominating 25-11 win. The 14-point margin of victory was the largest for the Titans against LBSU since the switch to rally scoring in 2001, and also matched CSF's largest margin of victory in a single set in 2012.

Long Beach State was held to a .024 attacking percentage in the third set, and a .000 clip in the fourth set. At one point in the fourth game, the Titans had a 22-5 lead, before LBSU scored nine straight.

The 49ers were led by Chisom Okpala's 14 kills.

Gabrielle Dewberry added 15 digs for CSF, while Lauren Kissell landed eight kills and totaled four block assists.

Notes: Cal State Fullerton's four-match win streak is its longest of the season…the Titans snapped a 59-match, 30-year losing streak to Long Beach State, defeating the 49ers for the first time since Oct. 19, 1982 (13-15, 10-15, 15-12, 15-10, 15-6)…the Titans' 25-11 win in set three was their largest margin of victory against the 49ers since the switch to rally scoring in 2001...the 14-point margin of victory matched the largest for the Titans this season as they also took a set from Santa Clara by the score of 25-11 on Sept. 15…Cal State Fullerton is 10-3 after winning the first set…Kayla Neto posted her 11th double-double of the season and eighth straight with 17 kills and 22 digs…Bre Moreland's effort of 12 kills and 16 digs was her 11th double-double of 2012…Long Beach State's 11 points in the third set was its lowest total in 2012.
