Reno, Nev. - Jaicee Harris had 19 kills and 12 digs and Rachel Todorovich had 15 kills and 4 blocks to lead Washington State to a 25-20, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, victory over Cal State Fullerton in the Friday morning session of the Wolfpack Volleyball Invitational in Virginia Street Gym.

The Titans (4-4) saw their brief two-game winning streak come to an end despite getting a lot of offense from hitters Bre Moreland (20 kills) and Kayla Neto (18 kills). Moreland also tacked on 12 digs and three blocks in the loss.

The Titans had a chance to send the match to a fifth and deciding set in the fourth, but came up short in the end with Harris knocking down a kill and Marcelina Glab and Camryn Irwin combining for a block of a Moreland kill attempt to end the match. The Cougars led for the last half of set No. 4 until the Titans caught up at 23-23.

Neto had six of her 18 kills and Julie Consani had 11 of her 43 assists in the Titans' Set 3 victory.

Fullerton never hit above .152 in any of the sets and were held to an overall average of .133. That was large-in-part to Washington State's presence at the net. The Cougars had 18.5 team blocks and were led by Glab, who posted a match-high 10 blocks. Irwin and Ver'Leea Hardaway each added 7 blocks. Fullerton had 11 team blocks led by Leah Best. She had six block assists and one solo.

Kate Sommer led all players with 18 digs from the back row. Gabrielle Dewberry led for Fullerton with 17 scoops.

The Titans will return to the floor this afternoon for their final match go the Wolfpack Invitational at 3 p.m. against CSU Bakersfield.
