Women's Tennis Swept by Matadors, 7-0

NORTHRIDGE, CA - The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team's struggles to start the 2011 season continued on Tuesday afternoon as the Titans were swept by host Cal State Northridge, 7-0, in a Big West Conference match in Northridge.

Fullerton fell to 0-6 overall on the season and 0-2 in Big West play while the Matadors improved to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in league play.

Northridge did not drop a set in the victory, claiming all three doubles matches for the early 1-0 lead before sweeping the six singles matches in straight sets for the win.

The Titans open a stretch of six straight matches at home on Saturday (Feb. 12) at 11 a.m. against Chapman University at the Titan Courts.
