Four Titans Earn All-Big West Accolades

IRVINE, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team had four student-athletes earn Big West All-Conference accolades, the conference announced Wednesday.

YuSeung Suh was selected to the All-Big West First Team. YuSeung Suh started the season as the No. 3 singles player where she was 2-1.  She moved up to the No. 2 singles player where she was 3-2.  And finally on Wednesday, March 9th she cemented her spot as the No.1 singles player for the Titans.  Suh had an overall record of 10-10 in singles.

The doubles pairing of Eira Tobrand and Camila Garcia were named to the All-Big West First Team in doubles. The doubles pairing of Tobrand and Garcia finished the season with a 12-6 overall record.  They started off the season as the No. 2 pairing where they were 6-1.  They switched to the No. 1 pairing against Utah State where they went 6-5 as the top pairing.

The doubles pairing of YuSeung Suh and Natalie Duffy were given All-Big West Honorable Mention honors.  Natalie Duffy and YuSeung went 11-9 overall in doubles this season.  Suh/Duffy went 6-4 as the No.1 pairing in doubles before switching to the No. 2 spot where they went 5-5 record.

The Titans finished the season 16-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.  They defeated UC Davis in the quarterfinal round of the Big West Champions before being eliminated by the eventual champions, UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals.

The Titans achieved their highest ranking ever in school history when they were ranked #60 during an impressive 8-game win streak during March where they had a perfect homestand and defeated multiple ranked teams.
