FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton Women's Tennis earned five singles wins and two doubles wins to wrap up play at the CSF Spring Invite on Sunday afternoon at the Fullerton Tennis Courts.

The Titans had six singles participants compete against athletes from fellow Big West Conference member UC Irvine, and three doubles teams compete against two teams from San Jose State and one from a combination team of UC Irvine and Grand Canyon.

In singles play, Natalie Duffy, Eira Tobrand, Juliette Daries, Mariia Nikitash, YuSeung Suh, and Kaytlin Taylor were in action. In doubles play Duffy and Nikitash paired up, Tobrand and  Suh teamed up, and Kaytlin Taylor and Daries paired up.

In singles play the Titans bounced back in a big way on Sunday, and earned five singles wins. Natalie Duffy continued a strong weekend with a straight-sets win 7-5, 6-1 over Ysabel Gonzalez-Rico of UCI. Suh was also in the win column as she earned a three set win in her match. After dropping the first set, she bounced back with a 6-2 win in set two and  didn't drop a game in set three, winning 6-0. 

Eira Tobrand dropped a hard-fought match 6-3, 6-4 in her singles match. Juliette Daries earned another singles win in straight-sets for the Titans. She won the first set, 6-0 and the second set 6-3. To wrap up singles play, Kaytlin Taylor won in straight-sets, the fourth straight-sets singles win of the day, when she dominated 6-0, 6-1.

As for doubles, Tobrand and Suh dropped their match 6-0.  However, Duffy and Nikitash earned the first of two doubles wins on the day for the Titans, as they won their match 6-2. In addition, Daries and Taylor earned a 6-2 win to wrap up doubles play for the Titans, and the seventh win overall.

Up Next: The Titans are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 29 to begin dual season, with a match against Azusa Pacific scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
