Titans Finish Day Two of CSUN Invitational

NORTHRDIGE, Calif. –   The Titans women's tennis team conclude day two of the CSUN Fall Invitational on Saturday. 

In doubles, the Titans duo, Juliette Daries and Indya Nespor, started the day with a tough match against University of New Mexico. The Titans fell to the Lobos 6-1 in the Flight B doubles back-draw. 

In Flight C singles' main draw, Indya Nespor reached the semifinals, but would not advance further after falling to her opponent in a close two-set match (6-4, 7-6(4)). Nespor will come back tomorrow for a match in the back-draw. 

Mariia Nikitash won two singles matches; her opponent defaulted in the quarterfinals and then Nikitash defeated Cal State LA's Sarah Olmos in straight sets (6-4, 6-1). Nikitash will face Youngstown's Elisa Rigazio in the finals of the back-draw. 

Juliette Daries advanced in the Flight B singles back-draw due to a default. Daries will face Utah State's Zeynep Ozturk Sunday morning. 

Camila Garcia will move to the next round of the singles back-draw in Flight C on Sunday after today's default. 

The Titans will head back to Northridge tomorrow for the final day of the tournament. Doubles will start at 9:00am followed by singles beginning at 10:00am.
