FULLERTON, Calif. –  After losing the doubles point, the Titans were unable to defeat the Aggies on Saturday.

From being up at both No.1 and No. 2 doubles, it looked like the Titans were going to capture the doubles point. Eira Tobrand/Misaki Kobayashi beat their opponents 6-4. At one moment for No. 2 doubles the Titans were up by two games but things shifted as the Aggies started gaining traction. Camila Garcia/Jadie Acidera  fought to keep the lead but would drop the set 3-6 to split in doubles against the Aggies. Natalie Duffy/ YuSeung Suh at No. 3 doubles attempted to make a comeback but would fall to their opponents, resulting in the Aggies taking the doubles point. 

In singles, the Titans would have to rely on every singles match after giving the Aggies the doubles point advantage. During all of the matches, it was common to see long rallies that tested both sides' physically and mentally.  Early on, the following Titans took the first set on their courts: Juliette Daries, Natalie Duffy, Misaki Kobayashi, and Jadie Acidera.  

At No.2 Eira Tobrand lost her first set, but made it difficult for her opponent to walk away with the win in the second set. However, with the completion of Eira Tobrand match, the Aggies moved to a 2-0 lead over the Titans.  Misaki Kobayashi would then beat her opponent in straight sets to put the Titans up on the board. 

After losing at No. 5, YuSeung Suh, it  would all come down to the three remaining matches for the Titans. The Titans would need to win all three in order to pull out the win. Unfortunately that would not happen for the Titans after Natalie Duffy lost in three sets to Aggie, Michelle Zell. 

With the match decided, the Titans continued to play out the remaining matches. Jadie Acidera  went on to win her match in the third set tiebreaker, 10-5. At No. 6 Juliette Daries won in three sets to finish up Saturday's match against the Aggies. 

 The final score for the Titans was 3-4.
