LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Beach Tournament concluded on Sunday with Jadie Acidera falling to Long Beach State's Carlota Casasmpere in the Singles Flight C finals in straight sets. Alex Kalachova was the victor in the Singles Flight B consolation bracket, defeating UCR's Hanh Pham in three sets.
In extra matches, the Doubles teams of Tobrand / Kalachova and Acidera / Valenzuela were early morning winners. Eira Tobrand beat Washington State's Carla Quadflieg in Singles, while Taylor Valenzuela fell to Portland's Laura Okazaki.
Next up for the Titans is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southwest Regional from October 17-21. The event will be hosted by the University of San Diego.
