LONG BEACH, Calif. – Jadie Acidera advanced to the Singles Flight C finals after defeating UCI's Dana Mackensen and Lauren Anderson of CSUN in winners bracket rounds at the Beach Tournament on Saturday.
Eira Tobrand advanced to the Singles Flight C semi-finals after eliminating UCR's Tammy Van. Tobrand eventually fell to Carlota Casasmpere of host Long Beach State in straight sets.
Alex Kalachova will play for the Singles Flight B consolation bracket title after UCR's Sofia Lazzaroni had to retire in the second set.
The Doubles duo of Jadie Acidera / Taylor Valenzuela fell in the Flight B semi-finals to a strong Long Beach pair, Sadeghvaziri / Devarakonda.
The Beach Tournament will conclude on Sunday, with matches beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Rhodes Tennis Center on the campus of Long Beach State.
