TEMPE, Ariz. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team while the trio of Jadie Acidera, Karla Portalatin, and Petra Such were named Scholar-Athletes. The ITA announced its 2019 All-Academic Teams and Scholar-Athletes on Thursday.

 

This year the Intercollegiate Tennis Association saw an increase in qualifying teams and scholar-athletes. All-Academic honors were awarded to 940 teams and thousands of scholar-athletes. 

 

All-Academic teams boast a team GPA of 3.20 or higher. ITA scholar-athletes must meet the following criteria: 1.) be a varsity letter winner, 2.) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and 3.) have been enrolled at their present school for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).

 

On the courts, the Titans had another fantastic year making it to their third straight Big West Tournament semifinal. Entering the tournament, they were given a No. 2 seed which is their highest seeding in program history. Led by head coach Dianne Matias, CSF finished with an overall record of 15-6 marking their fourth consecutive season with 15 or more wins.

 

 

PARKING
CSUF requires a parking permit for all weekday games. Beginning July 1st, parking on campus will be $10 for an All-Day permit Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm Friday until 5pm.  After 5pm on Friday, Permits are not required, as well as on the weekend. Park and Pay stalls Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (Friday until 5pm) are $4 for 1-hour, $8 for 2-hours. Permits can be purchased in parking lots at the permit machines and accept only major credit cards.
