The Titans to Host a Pair of Matches this Weekend

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Titans will be playing twice this weekend as they take on Long Beach State on Saturday at 11:00am P.T. and Youngstown State on Sunday at 12:30pm P.T.

The first match-up will be an important one as Cal State Fullerton and Long Beach State are the two teams on top of the Big West Conference rankings so far this season.
On Sunday, the Titans will face Youngstown State University for the first time in program history.

TITANS
The Titans (5-2) started the week with a great performance as they were able to dominate 2018 Big West Champions, University of Hawai'i.
Fullerton won the doubles and five singles to get the 6-1 win.

Cal State Fullerton now stays unbeaten in conference play alongside two other teams: Long Beach State (3-0) and UC Santa Barbara (1-0).
The win against Hawai'i marked the third straight win for the Titans after winning against UC Davis and Azusa Pacific.
The Titans showed it would be hard for any team to beat them at home as they are 4-1 while playing at the Titans Tennis Courts.

Jadie Acidera is still undefeated in dual matches as she is 5-0 at position No.6.
Caisey Lee EmeryLuxizi Meng and Eira Tobrand all match the team's record in dual matches, 5-2.

OPPONENTS
The first match-up will be against Long Beach State who has had an impressive season so far.
LBSU compiled eight wins and only one loss this season. They showed that playing on the road is not a problem for them as they are undefeated while playing away (3-0).
Long Beach State currently sits on top of the Big West Conference rankings as they are still unbeaten and compiled three wins. They won against UC Riverside, CSUN and Cal Poly.

The Youngstown State (3-8) penguins will be the Titans' opponents on Sunday.
Youngstown State is on a three-loss streak after losing to Toledo and Ohio State twice.
The Penguins are 1-6 while playing away.

HISTORY
The Titans are down 12-30 in overall all-time record when facing Long Beach State.
The last time the two teams met was last year during regular season and the Titans ended a 23-loss streak against Long Beach State with a 4-2 win.

It will be the first ever match between the Cal State Fullerton Titans and the Youngstown State Penguins.
