LONG BEACH, Calif. – After Day Two at Beach Tennis Tournament, Titans racked up five more wins. Tiani Jadulang, Eira Tobrand, Petra Such and Taylor Valenzuela all won their first game of the season this Saturday.
The highlights of the day came from the consolation bracket. The first win of the day came early as Such and Demirbaga, her temporary CSUN teammate for the weekend, won 6-2 against Grand Canyon duo Infantino/Lirzin.
Jadulang and Tobrand both won in the first round of the Flight B Consolation bracket. Tobrand then won against her CSUF teammate Jadulang in a disputed match that ended in super tie breaker 6-4,3-6,10-5.
Valenzuela also won her first game of the season in the first round of the Flight C Consolation bracket. She won 7-6(1),6-2 against PSU Ashley Knecht before losing her second game of the day against CSUN Sibel Demirbaga.
Jadie Acidera and Casey Lee Emery were both playing in the second round of their Singles Flight A bracket. Unfortunately, Acidera fell against Van De Vondel 4-6, 0-6, and Lee Emery also came short against Munoz 2-6, 0-6.
CSUF will have two players in Consolation finals competing against LBSU rivals: Tobrand in Flight B will compete against Dominique Meyer at 10am PT. Petra Such and her CSUN teammate will face the duo Upeniece/Knecht early at 9am PT.
Other Titans will also compete in extra matches during the day. Full day two results are listed below along this Sunday's schedule.
