SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Cal State Fullerton women's tennis team lost its penultimate Big West Conference match of the season to UC Santa Barbara on Friday afternoon, 7-0, at UCSB Tennis Complex.

The Titans, looking for their second-straight conference victory after taking down Cal Poly on Thursday, could only pull out one match victory on the afternoon and were swept in singles play by the Gauchos.  UCSB, ranked 50th in the nation coming into play against Fullerton, had won their last six matches including its first three Big West Conference tilts.

The lone match that the Titans won on the afternoon came from the No. 2 doubles team of Danielle Pham and Alexis Valenzuela.  The Fullerton duo took down the team of Scatiffe/De Silveira by the score of 8-5, completing their perfect week in doubles action after coming out on top against Cal Poly's team of Gibbens/Stone 8-2.

The Titans are back at Titan Courts for the final time of the season on April 10 at 1:30 p.m. to take on Big West Conference foe UC Riverside.
