2006 (SOPHOMORE): Appeared in 46 games, making
42 starts, after missing almost a month due to a hand injury...
named to the All-Big West Conference First Team... hit .326 on the
year with four home runs and 26 RBI... scored 23 runs on the
year... slugged eight doubles and four triples... amassed a .521
slugging percentage... ranked second on the team with six stolen
bases... hit .310 with a home run and 10 RBI against Big West
opponents... was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI against
Oregon State on Feb. 11... tallied three hits four times on the
season, including in back-to-back games against nationally-ranked
Texas A&M and Georgia... ranked tied for second on the team
with 12 multiple hit games and third on the squad with seven
multiple RBI games... tallied a team-best seven-game hitting streak
from Apr. 22-30, hitting .348 (8-for-23) in that span.
2005 (FRESHMAN): Appeared in 50 games, making
49 starts... finished third on the team in hitting at .284, scoring
18 runs, slamming two home runs and driving in 11... tallied her
first career hit in a 2-for-4 effort against Georgia (Feb. 6)...
finished tied for third on the team with 10 multi-hit games,
including a 4-for-4 effort with three runs scored against Illinois
State (Mar. 5)... also had three hits in a game four times... had a
six-game hitting streak from Mar. 5-16, during which she hit .450
(9-for-20), and a five-game hitting streak at the beginning of the
season (Feb. 6-26) in which she hit .526 (10-for-19) with six runs
scored and a pair of RBI.
AYALA HS
Played one season of softball as a senior, but played two years
as a middle infielder for the Bulldogs' baseball team as a freshman
and sophomore... also played volleyball and water polo.
PERSONAL
Born April 5, 1986, in Glendale, Calif... parents are Kory and
Rosemary... has a brother, K.J., and a sister, Iolani... hopes to
coach Division I softball after graduation... also considered UCLA,
San Diego State, Arizona State, and Long Beach State before
selecting Cal State Fullerton.
