FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's softball team won 1-0 against the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine on Friday evening at Anderson Family Field.
The Titans improved to 31-16 overall and 18-4 in conference play.
It was a pitcher's duel behind the Titans ace Myka Sutherlin and Rainbow Wahine ace Brianna Lopez. Suthertlin picked up her 18th win of the season. She allowed just one hit, one walk, and struck out 13 in the game. Lopez went 6 innings and allowed one run on two hits, four walks, and fanned six batters for the Rainbow Wahine.
Sutherlin struck out the side twice in the game in the second and fourth inning.

The Titans scored in the first inning to give the Titans an early lead to work with. Alexa Neil led the inning off with an infield base hit to third and moved to second on a sac bunt by Bailey Wallace. Daisy Munoz singled up the middle to score Neil for the Titans run of the game.

In the second inning, Myka Sutherlin picked up her 200th strikeout of the season after striking out the side in the inning.

The Titans will play a doubleheader tomorrow to wrap up the series. The first game is set for 2:00 PM with the next game starting 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. The Titans will honor their six seniors in a postgame ceremony after the conclusion of the second game. The six seniors to be honored are Alexa Neil, Evelyn Sablan, Alexia Silvas, Myka Sutherlin, Deshea Hill, and Daisy Munoz.
