SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans women's softball team defeated the Cal Poly Mustangs 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Bob Janssen Field to complete a series sweep over the Mustangs.
The Titans (30-16, 17-4) have won eleven games in a row and six conference series in a row.
Myka Sutherlin tossed her second complete game of the weekend for her fourteenth complete game of the season and her eighth shutout of the season. Sutherlin allowed just three hits, zero walks, and fanned six batters. Sutherlin moved to 17-7 for the season and has won eight straight games in the circle since the first game of the series against CSUN.
Saturday's game was a pitcher's duel through the first five innings as the Titans couldn't figure out the Mustang's starter Sophia Ramuno. Ramuno allowed two runs on two hits, zero walks, and three strikeouts.
