FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton Titans softball team shutout the University of South Dakota, 2-0 on Sunday at Anderson Family Field to wrap up their final pre-conference game of the year.
The Titans are heading into Big West play with a 13-11 record and five shutout wins so far this season.
Myka Sutherlin picked up her second win of the weekend after tossing five scoreless frames and allowing just one hit, three walks, and striking out 8.

Haley Rainey tossed one scoreless inning of relief and Raci Miranda picked up the save after tossing a scoreless frame in the seventh inning.
The Titans took an early lead in the first inning all by the speed of Antuanett Dean. She singled to the shortstop to start the first inning off. She stole second base and when stealing third, the catcher overthrew the ball into the outfield allowing Dean to score on the play.

The Titans would add an insurance run in the fifth inning. Evelyn Sablan worked a walk and Bailey Wallace ran for her and stole second. She scored on an Alexa Neil double down the LF line to give the Titans a 2-0 cushion.

The Titans finished out the week by going 2-2 after Friday's game with Purdue was rained out.
The Titans will begin conference play next Friday as they take on UC Davis on March 17th with a doubleheader beginning at 4:00 p.m.
