IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West will be featured in two ESPNU spring telecasts, highlighting championship-caliber baseball and softball matchups.
The Cal State Fullerton softball series opener against Long Beach State has been selected for one of the broadcasts. The original scheduled game time has been pushed back an hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday's softball game will pit Big West defending champion Cal State Fullerton against the Beach at 7 p.m. PT on ESPNU. The matchup between the preseason favorites to win the 2023 crown, and the Nos. 1 and 2 finishing teams in The Big West the previous two years comes on the final weekend of the regular season.
Cal State Fullerton, winner of five of the last six Big West titles, went 37-22 overall a year ago and 20-7 in Big West action, one game better than the Beach. The Titans will be led by standout Megan Delgadillo, the reigning Big West Player of the Year, and Big West single-season steals record holder after swiping 50 bags in 2022.
Long Beach State is coming off a runner-up finish in The Big West after going 29-22, and 19-8 in Big West games. The Beach will have senior ace Samantha Fowler back in the circle, a second-team all-conference selection a year ago. Long Beach State installed lights at the LBSU Softball Complex, so the home night game in front of a national television audience will be a program first.
Games aired on ESPN networks are available on the ESPN App, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription through an authenticated provider.
