IRVINE, Calif. – The Big West announced four telecasts on ESPNU this spring featuring championship-caliber teams in men's volleyball, softball and baseball.
The Cal State Fullerton softball series opener against UC San Diego has been selected for one of the four broadcasts. The original scheduled game time has been pushed back an hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On Friday, April 15, Big West softball takes center stage when Cal State Fullerton, ranked No. 1 in the Big West preseason poll, takes on UC San Diego, rated No. 4 in the poll, at 7 p.m. PT. The Titans are led by Hannah Becerra, 2021 Big West Freshman Field Player of the Year. Becerra hit a league-best 14 home runs a year ago. UC San Diego counters with a pair of 2021 All-Big West Second Team honorees, utility player Bobbi Aguirre and pitcher Gabby Williams.
Last season was the first time Cal State Fullerton took on the Tritons since 1980 and as a member of the Big West Conference. The Titans swept the Tritons in the three games that counted towards the conference standings and fell in the non-conference game played after the series.
Games aired on ESPN networks are available on the ESPN App, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription through an authenticated provider.

Cal State Fullerton has built a top-tier production studio to give the viewers an ESPN quality production for all games at Anderson Family Field. Additionally, all schools in the Big West Conference are committed to producing ESPN quality streams which will allow fans to watch the Titans on ESPN+ for all road conference games.
