FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton Athletics is set to unveil the newly renovated and fully dedicated 6,500 square foot softball facility on Thursday, February 10th. The ceremony will take place between 12:00-1:00 pm at Anderson Family Field.
Join us along with former Head Coaches Judi Garman and Michelle Gromacki, members of the 1986 national championship team, softball alumni and fans.
President Fram Virjee, alumni Monica Longcrier, freshman Raci Miranda, and donor Joe Cervantes will be speaking on what this new complex will bring to Titans Softball.
The facility features brand new locker rooms, coaches offices, a game room, athletic training rooms, rooms for video analysis, and fully covered batting cages. Over the two past seasons, the softball team has not had a locker room. Previously, it shared the complex located between Goodwin Field and Anderson Family Field with the baseball team.
"We got a new little swag with the new locker room and new batting cages. There is a lot of excitement in the air with the university celebrating our student athlete's experience." said head coach Kelly Ford.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will be streamed live on ESPN+
Following the ribbon cutting ceremony there will be tours of the new complex. This event is FREE and open to all fans.
Please park in Lot A or Lot G off of Associated Road. Parking will be FREE between 11:30am-2pm.
Also later that evening, the 1986 Cal State Fullerton softball NCAA championship team will be inducted into the Titans Hall of Fame.
