San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball (34-12, 18-0 Big West) swept Saturday's doubleheader at Cal Poly with respective scores of 10-0 and 15-2. Senior right fielder Kelsie Whitmore had a field day at the plate, going 2-for-3 in game one with 3 RBI, one double and one home run. In game two, she went 3-for-3 with a double and two home runs with six RBI and four runs scored. Sophie Frost earned the game one win to improve her record to 18-3. She has not allowed a run over her last 15 innings in the circle.

The Titans have now won 20 straight Big West series and swept each of the last conference series. Fullerton has won 25 straight games in Big West play.

GAME ONE
It was a relatively close game heading into the top of the fifth inning as the Titans had a 2-0 lead but Cal Poly had left a few stranded and it felt like they were hanging in there. And then Whitmore (2-for-3, HR, 2B, BB and 3 runs scored) homered on the first pitch of the inning and that set it off. The Titans went on to score seven more runs in the inning, including Whitmore roping a 2 RBI double and then later coming around to score on a Hannah Becerra RBI single.

It was the second game this season that Titans have recorded at least 15 hits in a game.

Frost posted a line of: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB and 2 K to earn the win. Alexia Silvas came on in relief to pitch a scoreless fifth inning.

GAME TWO
The Titans jumped all over the Mustangs as they scored five in the top of the first and scored in four of the game's five innings.

In addition to Whitmore's outstanding game, KK Humphreys went 3-for-3 at the plate as well with a double and home run of her own.

Julia Valenzuela was 2-for-2 at the dish with two runs scored. She doubled and tripled in her two at-bats to push her batting average to .415 for the season.

Whitmore extended her hitting streak to 14 games over the doubleheader and both her and Munoz extended their on-base streaks to 25 games.

Dani Martinez (3-0) earned the win while Staci Chambers and Ellie Zellien each threw a scoreless inning in relief. Martinez had a line of 3.0 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 BB and 2 K.
