FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball won 3-0 on Sunday afternoon to complete the four-game sweep of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. Sunday's non-conference win over the Gauchos moved the Titans to 31-12 overall on the season. The team recorded just three hits but two of them were home runs, courtesy of Alyssa Hernandez and Kika Ramirez

A trio of Titan pitchers combined to earn the shutout as Staci Chambers got the win (2-3) while Alexia Silvas earned her first-career save. Chambers posted a line of 4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB and 2K. She retired each of the last 12 Gauchos she faced. Ellie Zellien relieved her to throw two innings allowing just one and one walk to go with three strikeouts. Silvas shut the game down in the seventh.

Hernandez's home run in the first inning was the second of her career and first of the season. She also played a stellar game in the field at second base.

Ramirez's two-run home run was the first of her collegiate career in just the second hit of her career.
