FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton softball team picked up a 10-0 win at home over the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos on Friday in five innings. Fullerton moved to 28-12 overall and 13-0 in Big West play this year. The Titans have won 20-straight league games dating back to the 2019 season.

Julia Valenzuela, one of the best hitters in the Big West this season, continued to see the ball well as she went 3-for-3 at the plate with two singles and a three-run home run (5). She tied a career-high for RBI in a single game with five.

Kelsie Whitmore doubled in her first plate appearance to extend her hitting streak to nine games and her streak of reaching base safely to 20 games. Daisy Munoz extended her on-base streak to 20 games as well with her two-RBI double in the fourth inning.

KK Humphreys launched her seventh home run of the season in the third inning, driving in Valenzuela in the process. Humphreys has recorded a hit in each of the last five games.

Sophie Frost pitched four scoreless innings to move to 15-3 on the year as she allowed six hits and walked one batter while striking out four. Alexia Silvas came on in the fifth to finish the game out.
