FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal Stater Fullerton softball completed the three-game series sweep of UC Davis on Sunday with a 3-0 victory. Senior right-handed pitcher Sophie Frost threw a complete-game shutout and allowed just two hits to earn the win. Freshman KK Humphreys scored two of the team's three runs. The Titans return to action on April 2 for a three-game series at UC Riverside.
Fullerton extended its streak of 7+ hit games to 12 as the team recorded eight on Sunday. Hannah Becerra went 2-for-4 at the dish while Julia Valenzuela was 2-for-3 as the lone Titans with multi-hit games. Irie Siofele's RBI single broke the deadlock to bring home Humphreys the first time while Valenzuela drove in Humphreys on her second run to make it 3-0. Peyton Toto grounded out to shortstop in the fourth but it was enough to score Becerra.
