FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball wrapped up the Judi Garman Classic with a 9-0 victory over Loyola Marymount. The Titans made quick work of the Lions as the game took just one hour and 26 minutes to complete. Starting pitcher Savannah Serrata allowed two two-out singles in the first inning then retired the next 10 batters. Alexia Silvas came on in the fifth and struck out the side to secure the win for Fullerton.

The Titans (12-10 overall) scored an unearned run in the second and was quiet offensively until the fourth inning when the offense erupted for nine hits and eight runs to blow the game open. Fullerton moved to 7-3 on the year when leading after the second inning.

Freshman third baseman Hannah Becerra doubled twice in the fourth inning and on the second drove in two runs. Her two doubles in a single game puts her tied with senior Irie Siofele for most doubles in a game this season for the Titans. She was 2-for-3 overall with two runs scored. Senior catcher Julia Valenzuela once again performed well at the dish with two hits in two at-bats, one walk and a run scored. Sophomore second baseman Alyssa Hernandez went 1-for-2 at the plate with two runs driven in.

The Titans are scheduled to wrap up non-conference play this week with games against San Diego State, San Diego and UNLV on the docket.
