FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton softball split the second and final day of the Easton Invitational on Saturay. The Titans defeated Utah State by a score of 4-3 but fell to Oregon State 11-0. The newcomers led the way again for the Titans, accounting for two homers and the winning pitcher against the Aggies.
GAME ONE
Utah State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second as Gab Jimenez had an RBI walk to score the first run of the game.
Irie Siofele doubled to lead off the bottom of the fourth and was later driven home by Jessi Alcala's bunt single.
The Aggies took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth off an RBI single by Kay Fielder. Serrata got out of a jam, stranding three Aggie baserunners to get out of the inning.
Titans freshman KK Humphreys hit her first-career home run, a two-run shot, in the bottom of the fifth to put Fullerton back in front, 3-2. Fellow freshman Hannah Becerra hit her first-career home run as well to give the team an insurance run.
Utah State scored one in the top of the seventh but Serrata hung on to secure her first collegiate win by a score of 4-3.

GAME TWO
The Titans couldn't dam the Beaver offense as they scored 10 runs and had eight hits, scoring in each of the first four innings. At the plate, it was a struggle for Fullerton as well, recording just three hits in the five innings.
