While the four-time defending Big West Champions' season was cut short, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many student-athletes find themselves battling with how to cope with a void that would have been their fifth straight title run. For Taylor Dockins, that battle was overshadowed by another. Last week, Coach Ford shared with her team that Taylor's spirits had been low. On Sunday May 3rd, a magical moment was put together for Taylor by her teammates. The ladies of Titans Softball were able to organize a 20 plus "We Love You" parade-type car drive, where cheers, signs, balloons and vocal support was shared with Taylor in front of her home; as Taylor was to undergo another chemo treatment the next day.

The parade of support consisted of local current members of the team, alumni, parents and even the Kennedy family RV, that drove by her house to cheer Taylor on with her continuous battle. The love and support that was shown truly demonstrated the strong bond Taylor shares with her team and her community. Coach Ford simply stated that the moment was "magical". A gesture that not only demonstrates that Titans reach higher, but that we are all in this together.
