FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton (14-10) could not get anything going tonight, falling to No. 22 UCF by a score of 7-0.
Just one hour after Cal State Fullerton announced they were going to be playing spectator-less games, the softball team had to play the number 22 ranked team in the nation. Whether that affected the outcome or not, hard to tell, but the offense was held in check by Gianna Mancha.
The Titans managed just two hits against the right-hander and they came consecutively in the third inning off the bats of Julia Valenzuela and Megan Delgadillo.
With the knock, Delgadillo has now reached base safely in 14 straight games.

Reigning Big West Pitcher of the Week, Sophie Frost, got the start in the circle tonight and dominated through the first three innings allowing just a walk and a single. However, a walk and a couple of singles would lead to a run followed by a one-out grand slam as the Knights jumped out to a 5-0 lead.
They would tack on one more in the fifth and one more in the seventh, ultimately taking the game 7-0.
Cal State Fullerton will hopefully kick off the Easton Invitational tomorrow morning as they take on Boston University at 11:00 a.m. weather permitting.
