Titan Alum Ari Williams Signs with CA Commotion

Los Angeles, Calif. – The California Commotion announced the signing 2019 Big West Player of the Year and former Titan Ari Williams on Monday. Williams spent four years at Cal State Fullerton where she was a three-time All-Big West honoree.

As a senior, in 2019, she led the Titans with a .380 batting average, .620 slugging percentage, .451 on-base percentage, 65 hits and 22 extra-base hits. She also had a team-high 41 runs batted in and was second in runs scored (34). In conference play, she reached base in every single Big West game as part of a 22-game reached base streak becoming the first Titan to do so since 2002.

The center fielder left a legacy at Cal State Fullerton ending her career as the all-time stolen base leader with 93 in her four years, posting 20-plus steals every season. She also ranks third all-time in triples (12), sixth in runs scored (129), and ninth in in on-base percentage (.404).

Williams becomes the 18th Fullerton alum to move onto professional softball.

The Commotion will open their season on April 17th against the Canadian Wild of Southern Illinois at Fresno State University.
